| Title | a conference about children's entertainment | ||||
| Description | The child-friendly app is said to be available for all smartphones and tablets, but we don't know if a web version will also be launched in tandem. Content-wise, Youtube Kids will feature content and children's shows such as Sesame Street and cult classic Thomas the Tank Engine, among others. Since the app is designed for children, it will also feature parental controls, more specifically a timer which parents can set in order to limit the time their kids spend watching videos on the internet. The initiative to bring shows and specialized content to kids is admirable, but we're wondering about the ads Google will include with the app. There hasn't been any official statement in regard to acheterkama this matter, but we're 100 percent sure some ads will still be featured in Youtube Kids and the videos it hosts. But we could be wrong, as targeting kids with ads isn't always moral, nor socially acceptable, because kids would buy anything that is made to look cute, attractive or cool.Regardless of the ad part, Youtube Kids is shaping up to be a neat application, although we should let Apple fans know that it won't be available for iOS at first. Google will surely extend support to iOS devices soon enough, but until then, the base requirement to run the app is the Android mobile operating system. According to the Wall Street Journal, executive Malik Ducard will unveil the app on Monday at the Kidscreen Summit, a conference about children's entertainment. I'm genuinely curious about the programming the service will feature, because maybe our readers should know that I'm a huge classic cartoon fan, so I would be the happiest person if I had all the English episodes of Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, Daff Duck, Road Runner and Looney Tunes in one place. I will stream the hell out of it, if I can. We'll be back with more information about the Youtube Kids app on Monday, when it is set for launch.Ubisoft Delays The Division to 2016.
