Das gab Prinzessin Caroline laut "gala.fr" am Mittwoch in einer Pressemitteilung bekannt.

"Ich habe die Freude, Ihnen die Verlobung meines Sohnes bekanntzugeben", hieß es. Einen Termin für die Hochzeit nannte sie noch nicht, voraussichtlich wird die Trauung aber im kommenden Jahr statt finden.

Andrea Casiraghi, 28, und Tatiana Santo Domingo lernten sich vor acht Jahren durch Andreas Schwester Charlotte kennen. Das Paar besuchte gemeinsam eine bilinguale Schule in Paris.

Tatiana Santo Domingo sprach vor einem Monat mit der spanischen "Vanity Fair" bereits ganz offen über ihre Zukunftspläne: "In zehn Jahren sehe ich mich verheiratet mit Kindern und vielen Hunden. Und mit einem stabilen Heim. Das ist mein größter Wunsch", sagte sie. Nun scheint es ganz so, als ob dieser Traum bald in Erfüllung geht.
