I find grinding to be a chore in many games, and WoW Classic isn't any different.My period in Azeroth is not over and I will keep playing (at least until my monthly subscription is up). World of Warcraft Classic brought 2004 back with a bang last week, as players flooded the servers to play with the original, vanilla-flavored World of Warcraft, creating queues of tens of thousands of players and leaving the modern game feeling as a relative ghost town.What they found was, much like the temptations, a near-authentic World of Warcraft launching encounter. This is a recreation, of course, not the actual thing. The engine driving Classic is based on the modern sport, not the 2004 first, together with the vanilla images and gameplay systems shown on top. It looks and performs like that launch edition of the game, but it must run better. The most laggy areas in Classic stay more or less playable, even with thousands of players. The game is currently downright smooth after 15 degrees or so, despite the crowds and intermittent layer restarts. Are Blizzard's goals with this release worthwhile in 2019, although it is working as intended, which is excellent news for lovers?
