| Description | WINSYSTEMS Introduces Innovative Ethernet Switches for Industrial Networks Respected industrial embedded computer designer and manufacturer WINSYSTEMS today launched its inaugural line of rugged Ethernet switches specifically developed for demanding industrial networking environments. The NET-429 technology delivers consistently reliable performance under operating temperatures of -40oC to 85oC. It is unique within the industrial design realm for enabling delivery of critical data with precision timing.4D Hospitality Solution They've been hampered by multiple, competing protocols," said Jack Smith, WINSYSTEMS' director of product development and engineering, though and, as IEEE 802.3at PoE-powered devices, these units can be deployed with minimal wiring for power.Designers of embedded Industrial and systems IoT solutions must prioritize time-critical data over their networks. "Our new NET-429 technology increases the interoperability of their existing networks by taking advantage of the latest developments in IEEE 802.1 Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) and Audio Video Bridging (AVB), coupled with proper Quality of Service (QoS) implementation." These high-reliability switches also support the IEEE 1588v2 one-step Precision Time Protocol (PTP), ensuring the most critical data is always available on time, optimized and in-sync. System engineers can prioritize their data regardless of multiple or proprietary Ethernet protocols using the same network. The NET-429 line capitalizes on the advanced capabilities of the Marvell? industrial-strength Link Street? switch technology, providing a uniquely secure Ethernet switch for critical installations. Redundant wide-range power inputs offer abundant flexibility and significant cost savings in implementation. The PoE Power Device support precludes having to install power at the data source or other places where it is not practical to drop in power. "Our product development and engineering teams have long anticipated the disruptive impact accompanying the release of the TSN standard and the lack of suitable switches," Smith explained. "So, we intentionally produced our first rugged switches to support clients in meeting their industrial networking requirements. And, of course, they work seamlessly with our industrial embedded computers to help customers develop complete industrial networking solutions." | ||||
