| Title | Womens UGG Classic Mini 5845 Brown Canada | ||||
| Description | We looked at the distribution and made a contentious, but ultimately uggs australia right, decision for the label," he explained.
The only way he would wear the suit is if he accessorized it with a few beaded necklaces, a pair of fluorescent loafers and a Chanel backpack. The UGG boots are a far less controversial fashion choice than a Native American headdress. Thankfully there is no cultural appropriation to speak of here, but the boots are still a polarizing footwear choice. Even at the height of their fuzzy sheep-skinned popularity, you either loved UGGs, or thought they were the ugliest, most expensive slippers you'd ever seen. (Those people in the latter, clearly had never put on a pair and felt the fur cuddle their feet.) Pharrell paired his UGGs with the same light-washed boot cut jeans that I would have paired my UGG boots with back in the day. Of course he tucked his jeans into the boots, because that is the only wear to properly wear UGGsplus it allowed him to show off the embroidered trim. He completed the look with a handful of necklaces and a t-shirt with "Think Other" written across the chest. Perhaps this was his thought process behind his footwear choice of the evening? A pair of UGG boots definitely fall into the "other" category of dress shoes. Or maybe his feet were sore from the yellow sneakers he performed in earlier, and he put on his UGGs so he wouldn't get blisters?
Many people were at the Galleria because they wanted to browse, see things in person, and avoid the risk of packages arriving late. "I'd much rather have something tangible than have to worry about ifit gets there three days later," said Erin Wainwright, a University of Virginia student who was home for the holidays and starting her shopping on Friday. Online retailers offered earlier promotions this year in part to prevent clogging up shipping. Caroline Bartl comes to Houston every year to spend Christmas with her husband's family. The couple now live in Switzerland, and she said they always save money compared to being at home because, "here there are always sales." Posting a photo of her Christmas feast, which included a huge Yorkshire pudding, carrots, roast potatoes, beef and stuffing, with lashings of gravy, Millie captioned the photo: "Defeated". The star, who wore her hair in tumbling curls, showed off her slim legs in a pair of short Ugg boots, wrote: "Serious food baby, had to put my new pjs on to watch ugg fox fur short black frozen!" We have to say, Millie looks VERY happy with herself.
All of this I typed up quickly, after an embarrassingly frantic internet search for 2014 fashion trends yielded only vague, ad-riddled results. But then I was like, "WHY YOU GOTTA BE SO MEAN?" and, "Harem pants have been around way longer than a year." Except, wait. Wait, wait. All of these things have been around way longer than a year. Torn jeans, wrap coats. Even Kim's fur-lined sandals! Let us remember that before Ugg boots were "basic," they were "cool," and that before they were "cool," they were the fugliest things we'd ever seen in our lives with only slight hyperbole. While they were "cool", though, the Ugg brand came out with everything toe-sweaty sandals included all of which caught on for those who didn't surf not only because they were supposedly practical for those who did (the "trend" part of this equation), but also because once you slipped them on, it was reeeeeally hard to justify taking them off. My point being, though, none of these so-called "trends" are new to 2014; they're just slightly-different versions of everything we've seen before everything that, as far as I've observed, never really went away to begin with. |
