Here we take dense medium as an example to show four questions worth our attention during ore beneficiating: 1. We should keep a certain feeding volume and stabilize the density of suspension liquid during ultrafine mill with dense medium method, among which the density of suspension liquid should not exceed 0.02. 2. The dense medium should be grinded to certain fineness in ultrafine mill process. If the dense medium is lump, it should be grinded or milled, then mixed with water to form suspension liquid according to requirements. 3. The recycling and regeneration of dense medium is the key work in separating process. The products discharged from separating machine often contain a lot of heavy suspension. The easiest way is to screen the medium with vibrating screen, which can be divided into two stages: in the first stage, the medium still keep its original nature and can be recycled directly. In the second stage, we need water to wash the dense medium on the ore materials. So the suspension liquid is lower in density and more in pollutants. We could purify it with magnetic separation, flotation separation or gravity separation method according to the nature of dense medium. 4. The ore mineral should be crushed to the required granularity before dense medium is added to them. Clay will have a serious influence on the ultrafine mill process with dense medium method, so we should remove clay from materials, which can be finished by watering them generally.
