Sony has finally got the PlayStation Store back up and running, with an absolute ton of new content available for FIFA players to download.The PlayStation Store came back online last night, only a day later than Sony claimed it was going to happen (and then claimed that it had never made that claim in the first place) -- logging in right now will present you with a huge variety of new FIFA games, DLC, demos, themes, avatars, videos and PlayStation Plus content.One thing's still missing, though -- the Welcome Back package isn't yet live. J.J. Abrams' 2009 reimagining of the original Star Trek universe was a critical and commercial success, so it's surprising we haven't seen a licensed property until now. A new game from Paramount Digital Entertainment, coming in summer 2012, follows on from the events which take place in the film.Cast in the role of Kirk and Spock "for the first time ever" (Interplay's Star Trek 25th Anniversary might have something to say about that) the game is a cooperative action title that challenges the intrepid pair to "stop a legendary enemy race bent on conquering fut 16 coins the galaxy."The plot may sound cliched, but there's some good pedigree behind both the writing and development. The story is penned by BAFTA winner and God of War writer Marianna Krawczyk, in collaboration with the writers and producers of the new film, Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Digital Extremes (Bioshock 2, Unreal Tournament, Dark Sector, The Darkness II) is developing the game.Star Trek FIFA games have had a rocky ride in the past, with a few very good ones (the aforementioned 25th Anniversary, A Final Unity, Elite Force and Star Trek Online), some downright stinkers (Deep Space Nine: Harbinger, Klingon, Borg) and everything in between.
